Well, okay not the whole gang, but a lot of our pals are here at the Orlando Thousand Trails preserve or are headed this way. Yesterday afternoon Jim and Chris Guld from Geeks on Tour arrived, and they came by to visit for a while during the evening. I always enjoy picking their brains, because they know so much about all of the latest technology. The problem is that my brain is more like a sieve than a sponge, so a lot of it goes right back out.
Stu and Donna McNicol are leaving the Peace River Thousand Trails this morning and should be here this afternoon. And Phil and Tracey May from TechnoRV are scheduled to arrive on Thursday. It’s like we’re having our own little rally! I see a lot of fun and a lot of eating in our near future.
I’m looking forward to seeing everybody. Usually we only see each other at RV rallies, so it will be fun to be able to visit without all the pressure of a rally going on. I’d better hurry up and get the new issue of the Gypsy Journal finished so I can go out and play with my friends! I’ve only got a little over three pages to go, so it should be a piece of cake.
Speaking of rallies, the Geeks and TechnoRV are putting on another of their great TechnoGeek Learning Rallies March 26 – 28 at Paradise Oaks Golf & RV Resort in Bushnell, Florida. They will kick it off with a pre-rally Smartphone Learning Camp the 24th and 25th. Terry and I popped into their last TechnoGeek Rally a while back, and even though we could only spend a few hours, we learned a lot. If you want to know how to get the most out of your computer, digital camera, GPS, or any of the other techno toys we all love, make plans to attend now.
On the topic of computers, last week I did a blog on Working Without Workamping, and I mentioned that I will be doing a blog on ways you can make money with your computer as you travel. Several people have asked me when I will post that blog. I got busy with the new issue of the paper and got sidetracked, but as soon as I get that job finished I’ll post the computer blog.
Terry has another dental appointment this afternoon, and after not leaving my computer to venture outside for several days except to drop off the trash, it will be nice to get away for a little while.
